Well, they were and have had toys available since the 1940's. Lego is a line of construction toys manufactured by the Lego Group, they consist of colorful interlocking plastic bricks, that are now accompanied with an array of gears, minifigures and various other parts. You build and take apart for endless enjoyment and creativity.
The LEGO Company home is in Denmark.
