Shannon Michael

This is my son Shannon Michael, he turned 14 in September. Has been playing with legos for a long time, star

ting with the large ones and now the small,
but just building and creating wasn't enough for him, he ventured into stop motion animation. What is that you might ask? Made simple, Shannon wants to bring his creations to life.

To accomplish this task: the sets had to be built, easy enough, then the photography comes into play, each frame carefully taken with just a little difference in movement, snap. snap, snap....oh my, he fell in...clean up on set 20 please... aahhh..back to work...quiet on the set..

So, after millions of pictures,(well, not quite that many LOL) building, destroying sets, moving sets...we have a semi-finished product.

Mind you, this was months in the making, still a work in progress for a longer version with added segments and characters.

Shannon originally did this project last year as a 4-H County Events Project. He made his presentation of pictures, along with a speech on "Stop-Motion Animation", and answered numerous questions from the judges who were quite fascinated by his creativity. He took a 1st place with a blue ribbon and was invited to compete on the district level which he did. There he took a first place blue ribbon and a medal for an overall in the division, we are very proud of his work. He does want a career for the future in animation and gaming design.
